About Gelagen
Everything about the product itself in one place: what it is, what is in it, what it tastes like, who it suits, and who it does not.
What Gelagen Is
Gelagen is a dietary supplement in chewable form. One bottle holds sixty berry-flavoured gummies set with fruit pectin. Two gummies is a serving and a serving is a day, so a bottle is a month, which is why our packages are described in months rather than in bottles.
The panel carries thirteen declared nutrients. Eight of them have a printed amount beside them, and those eight are the ones doing the identifiable work: Biotin, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin B12, Zinc, Folate, Vitamin A.
It does not contain collagen. We have been asked this often enough that it belongs near the top rather than buried in a FAQ. Collagen taken by mouth is digested into amino acids like any other protein. Your body then builds its own collagen from scratch, using enzymes that stall without vitamin C. We supply the vitamin C and let the machinery you already own do the assembling.
What A Serving Contains
These are the amounts printed on our panel. The bottle in your hand is always the authority, and if a figure here ever disagrees with the bottle, believe the bottle.
| Nutrient | Form | Per serving |
|---|---|---|
| Biotin | Vitamin B7 | 5000 mcg |
| Vitamin C | Ascorbic Acid | 20 mg |
| Vitamin D | Cholecalciferol | 10 mcg |
| Vitamin E | Tocopherol | 7.4 mg |
| Vitamin B12 | Methylcobalamin | 6 mcg |
| Zinc | Essential Mineral | 2.7 mg |
| Folate | Vitamin B9 | 442 mcg DFE |
| Vitamin A | Retinol Family | 630 mcg |
The remaining declared nutrients, the pectin base, the colours and the berry flavour are printed in full on the bottle. The base itself has a page of its own, because a carrier that contains sugars deserves an explanation rather than a footnote.
What It Tastes Like
Mixed berry, closer to a blackcurrant pastille than a jelly sweet, with the faint vitamin edge that any B-complex brings with it. It is sweet. It has to be, because a pectin gummy will not set or stay palatable without sugars, and the amount per serving is printed on the nutrition panel.
We mention taste on a product page because taste is not a trivial feature of a supplement. It is the entire reason a bottle gets finished instead of migrating to the back of a cupboard, and a nutrient in a cupboard does nothing for anyone.
How To Store It
Somewhere cool, dry and out of direct light, with the lid closed. A kitchen cupboard is ideal. A sunny windowsill in August is not, and gummies left there will soften and stick together. They are still safe, they are simply harder to separate. Keep the bottle out of reach of children, who cannot tell the difference between a supplement and a sweet.
Suitability
Who Gelagen Is For
And, just as importantly, who it is not for. Both halves of that answer matter.
People with a busy morning
If the reason your last routine failed was that it needed a shaker bottle and four minutes, this asks for eight seconds beside the kettle.
People who read labels
Every amount on our panel is printed, which lets you add Gelagen to whatever else you take and see the real total. That is impossible with a proprietary blend.
People avoiding gelatine
The base is fruit pectin. Nothing in it comes from an animal, and it produces a softer gummy than a gelatine one.
People willing to wait
Skin renews across four to six weeks. If you need a visible change by Friday, no supplement on any shelf is going to give it to you, ours included.
Not for anyone pregnant or nursing
630 mcg of vitamin A per serving means this is a conversation for your doctor, not for a product page. The same goes for anyone trying to conceive.
Not a replacement for treatment
If you are being treated for acne, eczema, psoriasis or hair loss, keep doing what your clinician told you. This sits alongside care, never instead of it.
Why A Gummy At All
A capsule delivers nutrients perfectly well and costs less to make. We chose a gummy anyway, for one reason: adherence. The gap between a supplement that works on paper and a supplement that works in a life is almost entirely a question of whether it gets taken every day for months.
The trade-offs are real and we would rather list them than let you find them. A gummy needs sugars to set. It cannot carry the very large doses a capsule can. It softens in heat. It is more expensive per serving to manufacture. What it buys in return is a bottle that gets finished, and on a nutrient whose effect depends on months of consistency, that trade is worth making.
Where It Is Made
Gelagen is manufactured in the United States in a facility registered with the Food and Drug Administration and operating to Good Manufacturing Practice standards. Registration means the facility is known to the regulator and open to inspection. It does not mean the product is approved, and no supplement from any brand in this country is approved, because supplements are regulated as food rather than as medicine.
We say that plainly because "FDA registered" appears on a great many labels in a font chosen to imply something it does not mean.
Answers
About The Product
The questions our customer care team answers most often.
How many bottles do I need to start?
One bottle is one month, and one month is not long enough to judge anything. Most people start with three so that the first honest assessment happens on a bottle they already own rather than in a gap while they wait for a reorder.
Can I cut a gummy in half to take one?
You can, but the panel is calculated for two. Halving the serving halves every amount on it, including the ones doing the work, so you would be running an experiment on yourself with a formula designed for something else.
What happens if I chew three by accident?
One extra serving on one day is not a cause for alarm. Do not make a habit of it, because the vitamin A figure is the reason the ceiling exists at all, and go back to two the next morning rather than skipping a day to compensate.
Is there an unflavoured or sugar-free version?
Not at present. Pectin needs sugars to set into a chewable and we have not found a sugar-free version we would be happy to sell. If that matters to you, a capsule multivitamin is the more sensible product.
